Under the leadership of our own Robin Serne, supported by a grant from FPL and in partnership of our chapter with CREW Land & Trust, Audubon of Florida, the Naples Garden Club, and several other organizations. successfully planted 380 native orchids, representing 12 different species in habitat within the Corkscrew Regional Ecosystem Watershed. The project involved over 20 participants and nearly 360 volunteer hours, enhancing the natural biodiversity of this important regional resource.
Here is a visual report of the project's outcomes, produced by CREW Land & Trust.
We are thankful for Florida Power & Light and Audubon of Florida for making these kinds of impactful contributions and to all the volunteers and CREW team for doing this rewarding and purposeful work.
