Audubon of Southwest Florida Awarded an Audubon Florida/Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) “Plants for Birds” Grant
With other local partners, these funds will help us to develop a pollinator garden at Lovers Key State Park's Welcome and Discovery Center
Audubon of Southwest Florida (ASWF) thanks LCEC for a 2024 Environmental Funding Award to install and monitor housing for purple martins at the CREW Flint Pen Strand. The project will be in partnership with the CREW Land & Water Trust and the FGCU Ornithology Club.
Among the project’s activities will be an educational collaborative workshop for the installation of the housing. The site will then be monitored and maintained by the FGCU Ornithology Club. The chapter is grateful for LCEC’s investment in the community and the natural environment.
